We welcome students from many different ethnic groups, backgrounds and creeds. Human rights and freedoms are respected but must be balanced with the lawful needs and rules of our community and the rights and freedoms of others. All candidates for admission will be treated equally, irrespective of their, or their parents’ race, colour, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, association with a national minority, orientation, property, birth or other status.
Procedures: The admissions procedure is compiled of three elements:
If the audition panel are unsure of a candidate’s outcome a further audition, or probation period may be arranged. This does not ensure permanent admission.Very occasionally, we may offer places to pupils one group ahead or behind their standard year group, if we consider, as a matter of professional judgement, that this would be in the best interests of the pupil and Tap Attack.
Parents must as soon as possible disclose any particular known or suspected circumstances relating to their child’s health, allergies, disabilities or learning difficulties.
Unsuccessful candidates do not have the right to appeal against the outcome of an audition. The decision is final.
Tap Attack requires all pupils, once admitted, to re-audition annually. If the pupil is not successful at these auditions and Tap Attack feels that their place could be more appropriately filled by another candidate, they will be asked to leave.
