England Tap Team Triumphs at the World Tap Championships
The Tap Attack England Tap, consisting of 28 dancers have just returned from the World Tap Championships held in Riesa, Germany from 30th November – 4th December 2010. This is the third year running England has been represented at the Championships which is organised by the International Dance
Organisation.
The dancers from all over England had been put through three auditions to gain a place in the Tap Attack Youth Company and then selected again to be part of the England Tap Team 2010.
Excellent results were achieved as the dancers qualified through the quarter finals to the semi finals and lastly to the main finals. For the first time in the competitions history, England gained an unparalleled 3 Silvers, 2 Bronze medals and 2 World Titles with gold medals. Results were gold – Juniors (Junior Small Groups), Gold – Keith Henderson + Jack Evans (Adult Duos), Silver – Zac Watts (Junior Male solos), silver – Adult Formation (Adult Formations), silver – Adult small group boys (Adult Small Groups), bronze – Adina Nyahwa + Zac Watts (Adult Duos), Bronze – Lauren gore (Adult Female solos).
